Dr. George Chai MD FAAP

Dr. George Chai was raised in New York and moved to New Jersey after getting married. He attended the accelerated combined undergraduate and medical program at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S degree in biomedical science. He received his M.D. degree from Syracuse Medical University. At Syracuse Medical University, he took additional training in evidence based medicine and published an article in the American Family Physician Journal. Dr. Chai completed his pediatric residency at the Maimonides Infants and Childrens Hospital (MICH) of Brooklyn and upon graduation he remained there as faculty. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at MICH, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He has participated in various health fairs in Manhattan and Brooklyn and has given talks about common childhood infections to the United Federation of Teachers of Brooklyn.

Dr. Chai enjoys reading and keeping up to date with the most current guidelines in pediatrics. He also enjoys playing the bamboo flute, martial arts, holding his one year old daughter Emma, and reading her favorite story books.
